It all began with a walk along the beach with my children, in our beautiful hometown, Whitstable. We were drawn to the glint of sea glass, hiding amongst the pebbles at our feet, like tiny treasures waiting to be found. What started as a hobby soon became a passion and I can spend hours seeking out the enchanting colours peeking out from the rocks and sand on the shoreline. I love the thought that every little sea gem I find holds a story of the past - each fragment, once part of something broken and discarded, has been shaped and made anew by the rolling waves and the passage of time. Every single piece of jewellery that I create has a history of its own and no two pieces are identical.
Beyond its colourful and historical allure, Whitstable sea glass embodies a profound message of sustainability and renewal. With the help of Mother Nature, Sea Glass Studio Whitstable is repurposing these oceanic treasures and breathing new life into forgotten relics, whilst leaving nothing but footprints on the shore. Sea glass is a beautifully sustainable alternative to mined gemstones and my vision is to imbue each piece of my jewellery with a sense of nature's transformative power and the enduring beauty of time-worn treasures.
